gelphielvr:

(grammar question?) Okay so basically when writing why is it "she lay there" and not "she layed there" I'm not a native speaker but "she layed there" just sounds so much smoother than "lay". Is there a reason as to why it is written that way?

gelphielvr:

I think it might be related to past and present tense but if so then that's just so stupid. cause like the "layed" just sounds so much smoother and smarter and superer and special and super galactic and soy

MaxTon:

Lie" means to rest. Past tense is "lay" "She lay there" is correct. "Lay" means to put something down. Past tense is "laid" and "She laid the book down."

gelphielvr:

ok thanks (and happy early bd)
