how to make british jolly rancher type candies (my own recipe) Ingredients: 2 cups sugar, 1 cup light corn syrup (no high fructose), 1 cup water, 1/2 teaspoon orange extract combine sugar, water, corn syrup into a medium pot cook on high for 5 minutes or until boiling for 30 seconds while stirring occasionally (once every 15 seconds) Set a different pan in the freezer Set heat to medium and set another timer for 17 minutes while stirring once every 2 minutes Toss in a pinch sugar every 2 minutes while you stir For the last minute cook on low and add orange extract Take pan out of freezer and set parchment paper in it making sure the candy mixture won’t spill out (CANDY WILL STICK TO PAN IF PARCHMENT PAPER IS NOT USED) Pour candy mixture into pan and set back in freezer for 5 minutes Take the pan out and sprinkle 2 tablespoons of sugar on top Set back in freezer for 5 minutes Pull the candy like taffy a few times until white and roll it out into bite sized rope Take a knife and cut into bite sized pieces, I’ve found using a can and tapping on the knife breaks it nicely Enjoy :3

Can you use nonstick foil or a silicone mat? Or is parchment paper the only thing useable for this.
