OsKar:

Would it be a good idea to join boot camp and, after the period, join the police academy to pursue a career as a police officer? Or would it be better to just stay in the Military right after boot camp? Any advice??

ufo:

Both options are equally fundamental but in my opinion I think that joining the police force would be a better option. It gives you a better chance to explore the world and helps you stay in-tune with your environment and community

ufo:

The military does give the same advantages as the ones I listed but it's just a matter of your preferance

i think it's an awesome idea. I'm personally going to be joining the Marines or Army, then doing police work, then gonna try to join the FBI , it sounds silly saying out loud. But you can do anything you put your mind to! Military is much harder than police work and police academy but i think you're more than capable of succeeding! I personally think the Military would benefit you a lot! Not only would they pay for your schooling but it would also benefit you by giving you the physical and mental strength you need for police academy and when you become a police officer. You'll have your ups and downs, but you'll overall succeed! You just have to have faith in yourself and your capability. What I'm doing right now before i graduate high school, is having a pros and cons lists of all the branches I'm interested in joining. Whichever branch fits your needs or wants I'd say go for it! Just never forget your capabilities! We need more young Military personnel who have the strength to carry themselves and their battle buddies. I'm currents a sophomore in high school, and i do JROTC if you don't know what that is it's A military program called Junior reserve officer training corps. I've done a lot of cool things in the program so far, I've went to my states military base and trained for a couple days, I'm in Color Guard, I will be a first segreant next semester. It's overall a really fun and motivation class. I'm very sad that I'll be leaving my company ( Bravo ) next semester to be in headquarters for my leadership position. I have grown fond of everyone in my company, we get along so well. They're like a family. And to me that's important, to build a bond with your people. I have a wonderful 1st sergeant and Company Commander, and it's just sad I'll have to be leaving them next week.

I gen love the way you expressed yourself and how it proves your point so efficiently lol! But yeah! I will most likely go with boot camp first, THEN the police academy. Thanks for your reply! :3

Of course! I just thought my personal experiance and what i've learned from questions i've gotten answered from recruiters from different branches said would help you a little. It's genuinely gonna be a little stressful because of the pros and cons list, and all the requirements for boot camp and stuff. but you got this! DM me if you have any other questions about this topic!
