Which polynomial represents the sum below? (-2x^3 + 4x^2 + 6) + (2x^2 + 6x + 3) A. -x^6 + 6x^2 + 12x + 9 B. -2x^3 + 6x^2 + 6x + 9 C. -2x^5 + 10x^2 + 6x + 9 D. -2x^3 + 6x + 9
Your answer should be B if you put all the common parts together you will find you can not simplify the equation any longer
thank you so much
No problem do you understand it?
yes i do now thank u
Which polynomial represents the sum below? (2x^6 + 3x^2 + 9) + (3x^2 + x + 8) this is the answer i got 5x^8 + 3x^4 + x + 17 did i do it right
mmbuckaroos did i do this right ?
Ha ha let me check sorry I was working on something else...
ok no problem
No that's not right....Here I will go through the problem step by step
(2x^6 + 3x^2 + 9) + (3x^2 + x + 8) ok between both the sides what do you see in common?
3x^2
Right... so because there is nothing in common with 2x^6 I leave that then I would add the two common parts together so add 3x^2+3x^2 together and you should get 6x^2
Then there are no other x's so you leave the x alone. then add the 9&8 together and you should get 17.
ok yea now im getting it
Your final answer should be 2x^6+6x^2+x+17
Does that make sense i didn't do the best job explaining it sorry
yes it does now that u explained ill try another one and get back to u
Alright sounds like a plan Stan! Lol I'd trade that math for mine any day! lol
lol :)
6x^7+9x^3-x+9 + 2x^7+7x^6+6 this is the answer i got is it right 8x^7+7x^6+9x^3-x+15
how is this one mmbuckaroos
ok so what is your original equation again sorry is it: 6x^7+9x^3-x+9+2x^7+7x^6+6
yes and the answer i got is 8x^7+7x^6+9x^3-x+15 is it right
Yes sir! you got it good job!
well thank you im proud lol :)
Ha ha good you should be!
Which polynomial represents the sum below? (4x^2 + 3x + 4) + (-3x^6 - 4x^5 - 2x^2 + 5x) ok the answer i got is -x6 - 4x5 + 2x2 + 8x + 4
close look over it again.. I think you meant -3x^6
oh ok sorry yea i looked it over
Other than that you've got this down!
Good job!
Which polynomial represents the sum below? (18x^2 - 18) + (-13x^2 - 13x + 13) ok well the answer i got is 5x2 - 13x - 5
5x^2 - 13x - 5
i ment that
Yeppers! You're on a role!
wow thx u oh yea:)
Ha ha no problem!
7x^8 +5x^5 - x+8 + 5X^10 +9X+8 the answer i got is 12x16 + 4x4 + 7x + 16
No...make sure you have the correct original problem
If you do your highest power should be 5x^10 and there is nothing in common with that
5x10 + 7x8 + 5x5 + 8x + 16 is this the answer
yep!
sweet :)
Good job!
(x^6 + x ) + (8x^6 + 4) the answer i got for this one it 9x^6+5
I have to go get a horse trimmed, but if you have anymore questions I'll be back to answer them in a while
ok thank you very much for your help :)
alright sorry about that... Your last problem would be 9x^6 +x+4
im here
do oyu see where you made your mistake on that last one?
*you
yea
cool beans!
2x^5 -3x^3 + x^2 +4 + -3x^5 -2x^4 +x^3 +4x the answer i got is -1x^5 + 5x^6 + 2x^5 8x+-1
what do you think buck
close -x^5-2x^4-2x^3+x^2+4x+4
(5x4 - 3x2 - 2x) + (2x4 + 2x3 + 2x2 + x + 1) i really cant get this one
(5x^4 - 3x^2 - 2x) + (2x^4 + 2x^3 + 2x^2 + x + 1)
this is the right one
ok give me a sec
ok thank you
what is your answer
i couldnt get the answer for this one
ok... what do you see in common
3x^2 2x^3
mm not quite... ok so what's the highest power and is there anything similar to it
4 is the highest power
so what is in common with 5x^4
2x^4
right so add those together to get 7x^4 then do you see anything in common with 2x^3?
yea 3x^2
No because they have a different power... only alike powers can be put together.. Comprende?
sorry getting tired lol
2x^2
so 2x^3 should be by itself... ha ha it's ok and 2x^2 add that to -3x^2 because they share the same power.. are you following ?
yup so what next
you should get -x^2... Next, you have the x's with out powers in common (x & -2x) so you should put those together to get -x.
Then the 1 is all by it's lonesome self. Your answer should be: 7x^4+2x^3-x^2-x+1
thank you so much for all your help im leaveing im am tired
