please help me find the derivative of this one...\[y=e ^{-2x}(1+e ^{-2x})(-1 /\ 2)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

please help me with this one...i really need the answer right now

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[y=e ^{-2x}(1+e ^{-2x})^{-1/2}\] this is the problem...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Use product rule and chain rule \[dy/dx=e^{-4x}(1+e^{-2x})^{-3/2}-2e^{-2x}(1+e^{-2x})^{-1/2}\] after factoring you should get \[dy/dx=e^{-2x}(1+e^{-2x})^{-1/2}[e^{-2x}(1+e^{-2x})^{-1}+2]\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I made a typing error it -2 not +2 \[dy/dx=e^{−2x}(1+e^{−2x})^{−1/2}[e^{−2x}(1+e^{−2x})^{-1}-2]\]
