f(x) =e^x3-x2 find the indicated derivative and simplfy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is the equation? Is it e^(x^3-x^2) or something (it was not too easy to interpret)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry its just F(x)= e^x3-x2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm sorry the way you typed it was correct.I'm sorry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To find the derivative of this function, you can use substitution, too make it easier. If you substitute u=(x^3-x^2). You only have to find the derivative of e^u, and e^u has the derivative e^u, and then you must remember to multiply e^u with the derivative of u, which is (3x^2-2x). Thus the derivative of f(x) is (3x^2-2x) times e^(x^3-x^2) If I am not mistaken

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so are you saying the answer is (3x^2-2x) * e^(x^3-x^2)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, that's exactly what I am saying :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok! thanks so much
