Maybe you are supposed to measure it with a protractor? I believe you are trying to find the area of that circle... it must have a shaded area or something.. Does it tell you what the area is anywhere on the problem?

OK I got them... I can't really read it... but it looks like there is stuff written on the right side of the pictures. I am not sure you actually do the first problem. What it is telling you is to find the area of part of a circle you do the following. The area of a whole circle is A = pi r^2. So in the first problem, you are trying to find out the area of part of a circle... If you were trying to find out what half of a circle was you would take A = 1/2 pi r^2. But you aren't finding 1/2 of the circle you are finding a part of the circle. Since circles are measured in degrees you are finding a portion of the 360 degrees. that is the x/360 if you put in 180 degrees for x you would have 180/360 which is 1/2 of a circle which is exactly what 180 degree angle would look like when you color the top part of that circle. So .... I think the answer to the first one is what you wrote down on the problem x/360 * pi * 3^2 because we don't know the degree of the angle but the radius is 3. In the next two problems... it tells you the degrees and the radius. I can't read them. but put (degree of the angle)/360 * pi * radius^2. They tell you the radius also so you plug that in. If you want to tell me the numbers I can help you out.

okay the second one is the degree is 52 and the radius is 17ft the last one is 160 degrees and radius is 5m

So you put 52/360 * pi * 17^2 put that in a calculator and you will get your answer. You would put 160/360 * pi * 5^2...

so for this one 52/360 * pi * 17^2 i got 131.08 and this one 160/360 * pi * 5^2 i got 34.89

Make sure you right is with like inches^2 or cm^2 what ever the radius is in. Yes those are the answers... could be a little different depending if you used the pi key or you use 3.14. Good answers tho.. just label them
