evaluated!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\int\limits_{1}^{2} (7 - 2/x + 7/x^3) dx\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

will I find u and du with this problem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This one integrate term by term.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[7x - 2\ln|x| - 7/4x ^{4}\] evaluated at x = 2 and subtract off what you get when you evaluate at x = 1.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

will it better to bring the x on top ex. 2/x to 2x^-1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

7x−2ln|x|−7x^-2 /-2 =7x−2ln|x|−7+7/2 x^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now I am confussed. I am having alot of trouble with these problems. When I look at them I do not know where to start. I do not know what to do next

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Just put the integral sign in fron of each term and integrate term by term. No confusion.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

easy to say if you understand it. where did the -7 come from then +7/2x^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The last item \[(7 \ x ^{3}) \] is on the bottom. By convention you rewrite it \[7x ^{-3}\]. When you integrate that you would get a negative term.
