In essence, wouldn't 2(3) get performed before the division, ONLY because there is no implicit multiplication symbol.

if I have the formula as y= 6 / x(z+x), then you would simplify to y = 6 / xz + xx. If x = 2 and z = 1, answer would be 1 would it not?
