At a concert By the Who in 1976, the sound level 50 meters from the stag registered 120 decibles. The treshold of pain for the human ear is 90 decibles. Calculate the sound intensity of the Who concert and the sound intenisity of the treshold of pain.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

intensity?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

given: -sound level = 120 dB - treshold of pain = 90 dB RTF : - Intensity of concert - Intensity of pain To find the intensity of something you must take the log of that thing : for the concert it must be : 120 dB = log C \[C = 10^{120} \] and for the pain it's: \[P = 10^{90}\] hmmm not sure though, correct me if I'm wrong

OpenStudy (toxicsugar22):

wait so that is the answer is 10 ^120

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for the concert, but I'm not sure :(
