A particular type of automobile storage battery is characterized as "207 - Ampere - hour, 9.4 V." What total energy can the battery deliver? Answer in units of J.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Power is Current times Voltage (P = I * U) - So the accumulator is able to store a maximum of 207 Ah * 9.4 V = 1.946 kWh. Your answer needs to be given in Joule - which is a Watt-second, so 1.946kWh are 1946 * 3600 = 7 MJ

What is MJ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Megajoule - it's 1 000 000 Joule Take a look at this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SI_prefix these are very common and you will most likely have to remember them at some point ;)

Thanks so much :)

The answer was correct

you're welcome :)

Are you good at finding resistance of wires, if you have the resistivity, length, and diameter?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i don't know - it's usually not _that_ hard, i think... Just state your question and i will try. But maybe open an extra one, so everybody can see it - in case, i don't know the answer ;)
