\[x_t = 6(t-\sin(t)), y_t = 6(1-\cos(t))\]

-y+6=cost arccos(-y+6)=t x=6arccos(-y+6)-6sin(arccos(-y+6))

the thing is that t-sin(t) is not a typo and I know how to "eliminate t"

the problem is that a high school student asked me this question and I doubt that this is the answer that the school wants them to find

the solution of y is implicit and I find that a little weird

Umm I have the same problem in my course book. What they want you to do is differentiate y and x with respect to t and then divide both the equations so you end up with \[dy/dx\]
