How do I go about figuring out how many mL of solute are in a 20.02 mL sample of 6.55 % (v/v) solution?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

6.55% (v/v) means that there is 6.55ml of solute in 100ml of solution. Therefore in a 20.02ml sample: (6.5ml/100ml) x 20.02ml =1.3013ml So there is 1.3013ml of solute in a 20.02 mL sample of 6.55 % (v/v) solution. hope this helps =)
