If you want the equation of a tangent line the first step is to take a derivative
thats \[dy/dx=1/x\] aftr that?
if you had ln(x) then it would be 1/x but for log(x) its 1/(x ln10) assuming the base on the log is 10
its natural log...
then it is 1/x

substituting in 1 for x gives you the slope of the tangent line. because you want a line it can be written as y = mx + b
you have m = 1, and a point (1, 0) so using that you should be able to get an equation for the line and then solve for where it crosses the y-axis
ok good. got it..
