(z/z^2-8z-9)+8/z+1

i came up with 9z-72/(z-9)(z+1)

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

factor the 1st denominator (z+1)(z-9) this will be the common denominator \[=\frac{z+8(z-9)}{(z+1)(z-9)}\] distribute and add like terms on top 9z - 72 = 9(z-8) \[=\frac{9(z-8)}{(z+1)(z-9)}\]

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

looks like you got it :)

thank u
