Graph \[y_1 = |1-2x|\] and \[y_2=x+1\] Find the intervals where \(y_1\) is above \(y_2\), and that's that. :)

|1-2x| = (1-2x) AND (-1+2x) 1-2x > x+1 -1+2x>x+1 0 > 3x 3x > 2 0>x x > 2/3

another way to do this is to square both sides to find the critical points in this case 0 and 2 and to test for x <0, 0<x<2, and x>2 .
