Okay, looking at the equation. If you have an idea of what \[y=\sqrt x\] looks like then all the +3 does is shift it to the left 3 places.

it is easy if you take the square on the right hand side to the left side and then it becomes \[y^{2}\] = x + 3 In general this is the equation of a parabola.. which comes symmetrical along the y axis.....
