@Harkirat Will u help me in smth plssss????

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sure, if it is in my capability........

OpenStudy (angela210793):

A(2;5) B(5;-1) C(x;y) A,B and C are in the same line. 2|AC|=5|BC| find x+y=?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry angela I am not too familiar with these types of questions but i can suggest something which might help one possibility is that C is located in between A and B so that AC = 2/5th of the distance AB and BC is the rest 3/5th second possibility is that C is beyond B with BC being 5/2 of AC

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Does that help in any way?????

OpenStudy (angela210793):

actually my teacher has written that BC=2AB/3..but idk how got that...Thnx anyway :):):):):).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I suggest that u put it out to everybody, specially to amistre and satellite :}

OpenStudy (angela210793):

KK :) I'll w8 4 them to come :):) Thnx :):)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

When it says 2|AC|, it is referring to the distance of AC (absolute value, positive number) multiplied by 2. C is unknown, so you can make an equation of a line with x, y.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[2AC =2\sqrt{(2-x)^{2}+(5-y)^{2}}\]\[5BC =5\sqrt{(5-x)^{2}+(-1-y)^{2}}\]\[2\sqrt{(2-x)^{2}+(-1-y)^{2}}=5\sqrt{(5-x)^{2}+(-1-y)^{2}}\]Solve for x and y

OpenStudy (angela210793):

I solved it :):) Thnx a lot anyway :):):)
