If i(t)=4u(t) and e(t)=8u(t)-8u(t-2).What is the value of i-2 ? (see attachment)

The answer choices are; 1. i2=u(t-2) 2. i2=-u(t)+u(t-2) 3. i2=3u(t)+u(t-2)

Oh, your question asked for \[i-2\]which I assumed to be \[i(t)-2\]So here's the correct solution. This time I won't reverse the currents. From the right loop, \[-e(t)=6i_2+2(i_2-i_1)\] \[-et(t)=8i_2-2i_1\] \[8i_2=2i_1 -e(t)\] \[8i_2=8u(t)-(8u(t)-8u(t-2))\] \[i_2=u(t-2)\] There you go.

Sorry that was my misprint.Thank you for you time.It was very helpful.
