help me please?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

the picture is nice, but as a courtesy; try to type in the question so that we dont have to keep flipping back and forth between "windows" to keep track of it all. the picture can be there for clarification

OpenStudy (amistre64):

A = Pe^-(kt) is what they got; its the formula for continuous decay ...

OpenStudy (amistre64):

starts at 39 and has a rate of .1024l find the half life ... should be ln(2)/k if i recall correctly, but lets double check that

OpenStudy (amistre64):

39/2 = 19.5 and when I plug in the ln(2)/k i get: http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=39e^%28-.1024%28ln%282%29%2F.1024%29%29

OpenStudy (amistre64):

6.769... 6.8 maybe? lets try that ... if not then its 6.7 ...

OpenStudy (amistre64):

scila's is the same; but the rate is different; halflife = ln(2)/k

OpenStudy (amistre64):

ln(2)/.124 if I see it right ... calculator comes up with. 5.589... lets dbl check to see how well it works: 42/2 = 21 so we should get abt 21 with this 42e^-(.124*5.589) = 21.0023....

thank you :) i passed love <3
