pOH of 0.015M Mg(OH)2 how is this calculated?

is the answer 1.52?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im pretty sure but I could be wrong: So Mg(OH)2 dissolves in water to form Mg ions and 2OH- The concentration of OH- is then 2x the concentration of Mg(OH)2 (writing out the formula will help if you dont understand) The concentration is then 0.030M The pOH is defined as -log[OH] So your pOH is equal to -log(0.030) I dont have a calculator on hand but im sure you do! good luck
