3x^2/8y * 20/9x ?

What do you need to do...? Simplify, or...?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

=5x/6y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes simplify

Yep, tehmagik is right - you can times across both fractions to get (3x^2 * 20)/(8y * 9x) This gives you (60x^2)/(72xy) You can cancel out one of the x's, and 60/70 is the same as 5/6... So the final answer is 5x/6y :)

or write it like a boss: \[\sum_{0}^{\infty}(1/6)(-1+y)^{n}(5(-1)^{n}x) for |1-y|<1\]
