why in our surrounding o-2 is present if its formation is endothermic instead of o-1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

One molecule of O2 is thermodynamically more sable than two atoms of O. And I think that the formation of O2 from two radicals of O is exothermic since you form a double bond between the two.

will u please clearify it in more easy language so i ac undrstnd wat u hv said plz..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

since addition of electrons give affinity and second affinity is endothermic....but oxygen is lack of two electrons to get Ne octet hence it exists in O-2 only though the process is endothermic
