What is "equilbrium" ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

equilibrium is when the competing forces acting on (or energy within) a system are balanced (or equal) such that the system will not change it behaviour.

Thank you Jonny

OpenStudy (anonymous):

equilibrium is the state in which rate of forward and backward reaction are become same on a constant temperature...and by changing the concentration of reaction or product will not affect the equilibrium constant (k) but can shift the equilibrium stage..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

indeed Kf=Kr then any stress causes the reagents to shift, restoring equilibrium (Le Chatlier))
