an object attached to a coiled spring is pulled down 5 centimeters from its rest posistion and released if the motion is simple harmonic in nature with a period of π seconds answer the fallowing questions: a. what is the maximum displacement form equillibrium b.what is the time required for one oscillation? c. what is the frequesncy? d. write an equation to model the motion of the object?

well obviously the answer will be in the form of \[x(t)=Asin(\omega t)\] where \[\omega=\sqrt{k/m}\] then with \[\omega=2\pi f\] you should be able to figure it out

OpenStudy (anonymous):

X=Asinwt [s.h.m equation] , x is the distance here A is the amplitude so according to question it will be X=5sinwt and X max when sinwt=1 means Xmax=5cm T (time period)=pi, frequency is inversely proportional so its 1/pi w=2pi *(1/T)=2rad/sec X=5sin2t is the general shm equation
