GHIJ= GHI + GJI triangles. GH=HI=IJ=JG=46. Pythagorean theorem in one of the two tgiangles GI= sqrt(GH^2+HI^2). This is also the circles diameter. Area of circle is A=πr^2 where r is diameter/2. Area of circle minus area of square equals area of all four segments. So if divide by 4 its the area of each segment. Multiply by 3 and you have the area of three segments

got it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so 4/46x3?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I dont think I got it correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

pythagorean theorem has no good root, its around 65.05

OpenStudy (anonymous):

did you see the answer choices? would it be (b)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hold a sec

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

noooo A! B is for all four parts

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok! so its a not b correct? lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):
