3.3!+4.4!+5.5! .......19.19! divided by 64 leaves a remainder ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

anyone attempting ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3.3!=4!-3! 4.4!=5!-4! proceeding this way u can get, 20!-19!+19!-18!+18!-17!+.........-3!=20!-3! 20! is divisible by 64. 3!=6 so the remainder will be 58

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it correct?

OpenStudy (zarkon):

your notation is not good. if you wanted 3 times 3 factorial then you should use \[3*3!\text{ or }3\times3!\text{ or }3\cdot3! \] when you use a period then you get this \[3.3!=(3.3)!=\Gamma[3.3+1]\approx8.85534336046\] \[\text{where }\Gamma[\cdot]\text{ is the gamma function}\]

OpenStudy (zarkon):

if it is multiplication then Arnab09 is correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

whats wrong with my answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

actually, i solved it taking it as a multiplication sign

OpenStudy (zarkon):

nothing..I said you are correct...provided the period used represents multiplication.
