The position of a particle moving along the x axis varies in time according to the expression x = 4t 2, where x is in meters and t is in seconds. Evaluate its position at the following times. (a)t=2.10s ______m (b)t=2.10s +Δt xf=________m (c)Evaluate the limit of Δx/Δt as Δt approaches zero to find the velocity at t = 2.10 s. _______m/s
for a i got 17.64..what did you guys get? for b and c i have no idea lol
for a) you are correct not sure about part b) looks like for part c) they are looking for velocity at time t =2.1 take the derivative --> d/dt 4t^2 = 2*4t = 8t plug in 2.1
it looks like part b i need to put some special characters in =/
oh wait part b is just plugging in (t+delta t) for t --> x = 4(t+delta t)^2
8(2.1)=16.8?
yes
ok so a is what i got....b is what u wrote? and c is 16.8?
yes, just replace t with 2.1 with what i wrote for part b
wait lol..so it will be 4(2.1+delta2.1)^2??
haha no its still the delta symbol t
ok lol
YYEYEEAAAAAA!!!!! it was right!!!!
you are amazing! again..may have more!
