If so, multiply top and bottom by the conjugate \[\frac{ \sqrt{3(x+\Delta x)+9} - \sqrt{3x+9}}{\Delta x} \cdot \frac{\sqrt{3(x+\Delta x)+9}+ \sqrt{3x+9}}{\sqrt{3(x+\Delta x)+9}+ \sqrt{3x+9}}\]
