AB has endpoints A(-6, -4) and B(-1, 8). CD has endpoints C(2, 5) and D(14, 0). determine weather the two segments are congruent. show work please

OpenStudy (anonymous):

use the distance formula for AB and for CD; if the distances are equal then the segments are congruent\[d=\sqrt{(x _{2}-x _{1})^2+(y _{2}-y _{1})^2}\]in this problem\[d(AB)=13\]and \[d(CD)=13\]and so the segments are congruent
