Evaluate ; lim x →0 f(x) f(x)=x+1/[(x+17)^1/4 -2 ]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not too sure if there is a typo \[\lim_{x \rightarrow 0} x+{{1} \over {(x+17)^{1 \over 4}} -2}\] then just substitute x=0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nope, you got the question wrong, the numerator was (x+1).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You can still substitute x=0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then how did i get the limit of f(x) as x\[\rightarrow \] zero ?!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x approaches zero *
