To go from moles to grams you multiply by the molar mass. The molar mass of CuI2 is 317.355g/mol 4.95 moles CuI2 x (317.355 grams CuI2/1 mol CuI2) =1570 grams CuI2 *note moles CuI2 cancel! To get from grams to moles you need to divide by the molar mass of the compound. 4.73 Grams CuI2 x (1 mol CuI2/317.355 grams CuI2) = 0.0150 Moles CuI2 *note grams CuI2 cancel.
