use the product rule to differentiate the function. g(x)=(x^2 +1 )(x^2-2x).

If I were you, I would first multiply it out and then take the derivative before using the product rule. That way, it's a check to make sure you did it correctly.

If you multiply it out g(x) becomes: \[g(x)=x^4−2x^3+x^2−2x \] g'(x) becomes: \[g′(x)=4x^3−6x^2+2x−2 \] When you use multiplication rule for this, you should get the same answer.
