The period of oscillation P(in seconds) of a simple pendulum of length L (in feet) is given by P=2(pi)(square root of L/g), where g=32ft/s^2. Find the rate of change of P with respect to L when P=2.

To find rate of change of P wrt L you have to find P'=dP/dL. Then they want to know P'(L) when P=2. To calculate that you need to know L when P=2. Solve for L in terms of P in the original equation, then plug in P=2. Plug that L into your derivative expression to find the answer.
