sulfur has two isotopes: sulfur -32 and sulfur -33. Which is more abundant, given that the atomic mass of sulfur is 32.06 amu?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sulfur 32 is about 95.02% of sulphur isotopes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ooops Aussie spelling slipped in there

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and if 33 was more abundant the amu would be closer to 33 not 32

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah whenever theres 2 isotopes, the more abundant is gonna be the one thats closer to its atomic weight
