\[f'(x)=(2-x)^5-5x(2-x)^4=(2-x)^4[(2-x)-5x]=0\]\[=(2-x)^4(2-6x)=0\]x={1/3,2} are the critical points

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay, so do you know how to get the critical values?

OpenStudy (turingtest):

just find where the derivative is either zero or undefined

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is your critical value 1/2 ?

OpenStudy (turingtest):

no 1/3 and 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok, the think that was throwing me off in these problem was that exponents of 4 I wasn't sure if there was suppose to be 4 critical value of 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oops! I meant that the exponents was confusing me,lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but I know how to find critical values

OpenStudy (turingtest):

sweet, that's what I was hoping for. anytime.

Turing Test your become one my favorite if there anyway I could get your email if I every need help on something I would appreciate, because it seems like now days open study is so slow

OpenStudy (turingtest):

Sure I'm principleofequivalence@gmail.com If you email me questions I may take longer to respond though, but at least I won't make so many mistakes. Thanks for the posterity.
