An atom of silicon has a mass number of 28 and an atomic number of 14. How can you determine how many protons and how many neutrons are in this atom?

btw dont goggle the question!

Hi, the proton number is the same as the atomic number. Therefore, it's 14 protons. Again, the neutron number is the mass number minus the proton number. Therefore neutron number is \[28-14=14\] I hope this helps?
