function f(x)={(x,y):y=logx}.find the inverse of f(x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To find an inverse of a function, given that the inverse exists, remember that y=x. So interchange x and y in the equation, then solve for y, which is inv f(x). In this case x = log y Therefore, exponentiate both sides of the equation: 10^x=10^(log y) Therefore, y = 10^x. Hope that helped.
