Goldenwood Street drops 12 feet over a horizontal distance of 900 feet. What is the slope of the street? Round your answer to two decimal places

What is the slope? Rise over run. So if it drops, what does that mean? And over a HORIZONTAL distance, what does that mean?

This is what I got.. Slope= Rise/run. Rise would be the opposite of the drop, so the slope will be negative. So the slope is -0.04.
