The figure is the graph of an exponential growth function f(x) = Pax. Find the rule of the function f by finding a. (Hint: First find P by finding f(0). Then find a by finding f(2).)
Answers: f(x)=10(4^x) f(x)=5(6^x) f(x)=10(5^x) f(x)=5(4^x) f(x)=5(5^x)
in the question it should be pa^x
first makling f(0) as suggested, you will find f(0)= 5 * sometthing^x. so p=5. using the points: (2,80) 80 = 5 a^x , a^x =16 by exclusion a =a so we have f(x)=5(4^x)
That is correct, but could you explain it in a more simple way so I can understand it better?
im on phone .. a minute
thats fine. i just want to get it down in my head.
f(0)= p * a^0 = 5, p=5 using the points (2,80) and replacing on the formula f(2) = 80 5* a^2 = 80 a^2 =16 a= 4 did you get??
where did you get 16 from?
80/5
what about a^2?
