11 girls out of 24 students, and 5 out of 24 students in the group. 3 girls out of 5 students in the group. I think you would multiply the resulting numbers, but I'm not positive.

11 divided by 24, then 5 divided by 24, then 3 divided by 5. then multiply all the results. I think.

first there has to be exactly 3 girls so 3 is fixed now from 13 boys we want 2 to be SELECTED(this magic word tells us that this is combination) so this can be done in 13C2 ways|dw:1326017097305:dw| ? gives answer
