In the State of Florida, a redfish must be at least 18 inches long, but no more than 27 inches long for the fish to be considered a keeper. Choose the combined inequality that describes this scenario. Answer 18 less than or greater to x less than or greater to 27 x greater than or equal to 18 and x greater than or equal to 27 x less than or greater to 18 or x greater than or equal to 27 none of the above
18 less than or greater to x less than or greater to 27
thank you :) i aint trying to be mean or nothing i just nee help with my hw thank you for thw answer! :)
You believed me? lol If you want the correct answer I will work through it with you, but posting again and again without asking for explanation will only prompt many of us to give wrong answers. I'm not being rude, I want to teach people, not give answers.
okay i understand and can you please teach me... i didn't realize i posted it more than once my bad...
ok then, happy to help...
what does it mean that the fish must be at least 18 in or more? can you write that in an expression?
are you asking me a ? or asking me to do it?
just what does it mean? here's an example. If I say I need at least 5 apples, and I call the number of apples x, then this is\[x \ge5\](greater-than or equal-to) so this says the number of apples must be greater-than or equal-to 5. Now your problem says the fish must be at least 18in, so using what I said above, how can we write this?
\[18 \ge x? \]
\[18 \le 27 ?\]
wait sorry the above is wrong
oh..
it should be \[x \ge18\]for the first statement
see how this means x (the length of the fish) must be greater-than or equal to 18in? does that make sense? (sorry for not noticing immediately)
