6 radical 81a4b8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

54a2b4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is this \[\sqrt[6]{81a^4b^8}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh not 6 times all that, you mean the sixth root?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes it is Satellite ^^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then \[\sqrt[6]{81}=\sqrt[6]{3^4}=\sqrt[3]{3^2}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

similarly \[\sqrt[6]{a^3}=\sqrt[3]{a^2}\] and \[\sqrt[6]{b^8}=b\sqrt[6]{b^2}=\sqrt[3]{b}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

typo there, should have been \[\sqrt[6]{a^4}=\sqrt[3]{a^2}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hope it is clear what i am doing, just taking out the common factor of 2 in the index and the radicand. put them together and get \[b\sqrt[3]{9a^2b}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Very clear! thanks for all the help! It's highly appreciated.
