ln(2+e^(-x)) =2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\ln \left( 2+e ^{-x} \right)=2, x=-\ln (2-e ^{2}), is this correct? ;;;\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nope

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[x=-\ln (e ^{2}-2)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats correct :) thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you explain the steps to get this answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\ln a = b, --> a = e ^{b} ,,, (2+e ^{-x})=e ^{2},,, e ^{-x}=e ^{2}-2\] take ln again then you have the answer
