How do you find out which molecule is MORE polar? ex: carbon disulfide OR sulfur difluoride

OpenStudy (anonymous):

S=C=S or F-S-F SF2 has a hybridzation of "sp3" . I say "sp3" because theoretically thats what it is. These bonds are 109.5 theoretically and have 2 pairs of Electrons creating a bent bond. Fluorine being the most polar molecule will pull electron density away from Sulfur because EN of sulfur is less than fluorine. With out any quanitative data, looking at CS2 which is SP2 hydridzation you can clearly see the dipoles cancel out. One S will pull one way the other S will pull in the oppsite way. So for your answer, SF2 is more polar than CS2.
