how do you graph this linear equation: eq 1: 2x - y=8 eq 2: 3x - 7= 4y I know that the point they intersect is (5,2) I also know that the y=mx+b form of eq 1 and eq 2 are: eq 1: y=2x+-8 eq 2: y= 3/4x+-7/4 I don't know how to graph it because the y int. is a fraction. can anyone make eq 2's y int. not a fraction or can graph it so that they both meet at that point?

you know it passes through (5,2)... everytime you go right by 4 you go up by 3
but i still don't understand how to graph the second equation. I don't know if i have to find a way to simplify the equation or if i graph it as a fraction. i never learned how to graph it as a fraction yet.
