Use a for the constant. By the way a constant variable is a contradiction of terms.
Define it explicitly. For example: f(x,y)=3x+2y+c.
no it is not, my variable is constant for the integration and varies in a sum of the intergrals
The variable is treated* as a constant.
do you know how to define integers ie {1,2,3...} in wolfram

If you just want to integrate with respect to some variable, try putting a "d#" at the end of the expression, where # is your variable. For example: integrate (3x^2+2y)dx
all i am trying to do is find a result for \[a_n ={1 \over π} \int_{-π}^π|sin(x)|cos(nx)dx\] where n is integers
positive integers
