Find the center and vertices of the ellipse. 4x2 + 9y2 + 32x + 54y + 109 = 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just to clarify, its 4x^2+9y^2+32x+54y+109=0

OpenStudy (kainui):

Remember the standard form for an ellipse looks like \[(x^2-h)/a^2+(y^2-k)/b^2=1\]and (h,k) is the center of the ellipse. So you have to get it into a form that looks closer to that by completing the square, try it out. I've already worked out the answer, I'll help point you in the right direction.
