how do you go from knowing liters and molarity to grams

Well you can use Molarity as a conversion factor, and feel free to either go with 1000ml or 1 L which ever suits your needs more. An example of a conversion factor would be 2 moles HCL= 1000ml solution, or 2 mole HCl=1 L solution, then the next step in your factor lable would be a conversion factor from moles to grams. so the total factor label would be amount of solution ---> moles in solution---> grams
