Please help me solve the following equation. It's urgent! ∂^2u/∂x^2 + ∂^2u/∂xy + ∂^2u/∂y^2 = 4 e^(3y)

Will anyone answer!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is ∂ = e??

OpenStudy (wasiqss):

first it is written that take 2 derivatives with respect to x(∂^2u/∂x^2), hence in the eq there is no x , hence its derivative is 0, coming to next step first hear we have to take derivative wrt to y and then x, answer to it will also b zero cox no x is present, bt when it comes to taking derivative wrt to y two times(∂^2u/∂y^2), then first derivative wrt to y is 12e^3y and 2nd derivative wrt to y is 36e^3y, hence the answer is 36e^3y because rest of terms are zero

i don't get your anwer.

OpenStudy (jamesj):

1. Solve the homogenous equation, with a trial solution/Ansatz: u(x,y) = X(x)Y(y) 2. Then solve the inhomogeneous equation with a trial solution v(x,y) = f(y)

can you please solve it for me James. Tausand Danke!!

this is too high for me
